Furthermore, Boston Judge Indira Talwani gave the administration until Monday to confirm whether they would authorize at least reduced SNAP benefits for November. During an interview on CNN's "State of the Union," Secretary Bessent stated that the administration would not appeal the court's decision. On Friday, President Donald Trump addressed the situation on Truth Social, stating that the government was exploring options to restart SNAP. He emphasized, "I do NOT want Americans to go hungry just because the Radical Democrats refuse to do the right thing and REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT." The President also mentioned he had instructed lawyers to seek clarification from the Court on how to legally fund SNAP as quickly as possible.
