It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of David Cranswick Reddick, a life that touched many, who left us far too soon. David, a resident of North Grant, Antigonish County, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2025, at the age of 61, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, David was the son of Laura (Johnson) and the late William "Bill" Reddick. His journey took him to London, Ontario, during his younger years, where he dedicated 30 years of his life to Cami. He retired at 55, with plans to return to his roots in Antigonish and build his dream home. Sadly, he was never able to move in.
David's passions included the camaraderie of a good game of golf with his brother, Ralph, and brother-in-law, Pat. He also cherished his "Guys Night" gatherings, the Thursday night pool sessions that brought friends together.
He leaves behind his beloved mother, his daughter Emily, and his six sisters: Deborah, Connie (Merle) Pelley, Darlene (Nelson) Pelley, Maxine Reddick-Maclellan, Nanette, and Joanne (Pat) O'Sullivan. He is also survived by his two brothers, Evie and Donnie, and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his father and brothers, Martin and Ralph.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at C.L. Curry Funeral Home, located at 135 College Street, Antigonish. The funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2 pm in St. James United Church, Antigonish, officiated by Reverend Peter Smith. Burial will follow at a later date in St. James & St. Paul Cemetery.
In memory of David, the family suggests donations to ALS Canada or St. James United Church.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Cathy MacGillivray, the Palliative Care team, and the Intensive Care unit for their unwavering support.
