John Yang, who serves as both the anchor for PBS News Weekend and a correspondent for PBS News Hour, has been instrumental in covering pivotal events, including the inaugural year of the Trump administration. He continues to report on pressing national matters from the heart of Washington, D.C., as well as from various locations across the United States.
Joining him in this reflection is Lorna Baldwin, an Emmy and Peabody award-winning producer with a remarkable two-decade tenure at PBS NewsHour. Baldwin has traversed the nation, shedding light on critical issues such as the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, tsunami preparedness in the Pacific Northwest, and the politics surrounding poverty during election campaigns in North Carolina. Her international reporting has also taken her to Costa Rica, where she highlighted the urgent issue of sea turtle nest poaching, as well as to the Netherlands to explore the unique architecture of Rotterdam and the work of renowned landscape artist Piet Oudolf.
