One parent, Linnea Knight, whose twin daughters Maddie and Lily were on the bus, described the morning as unexpected and chaotic. Maddie and Lily recounted the terrifying moments, with Maddie explaining how everyone fell on her as the bus swerved and hit the ground.

The sisters noticed a sign that the bus may have hit before rolling over. Police evidence markers were seen near a destroyed temporary construction sign, adding another layer of mystery to the incident.
