2026 Lucid Gravity Touring Review: Electric SUV Power & Comfort Unleashed (2026)

The Lucid Gravity Touring: A Strong Act 2

The Lucid Gravity Touring is a compelling electric SUV that showcases Lucid's commitment to innovation and performance. With a starting price of around $82,000, it offers a range of features that make it stand out in the market. In this review, I'll delve into the key aspects of the Gravity Touring, exploring its design, performance, and overall driving experience.

One of the most striking features of the Gravity Touring is its interior space. With a third-row seating option, it provides ample room for passengers, ensuring that even tall individuals can travel comfortably. The cargo area is equally impressive, offering a generous 112 cubic feet of space when the seats are folded, making it a practical choice for families or those who frequently transport bulky items.

Under the hood, the Gravity Touring packs a punch with its two-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 560 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. While it may not match the power of the Grand Touring model, it still offers impressive acceleration and handling, making it a joy to drive. The optional three-chamber air suspension strikes a perfect balance between ride comfort and body roll control, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Visually, the Gravity Touring is a sight to behold. Its design is modern and premium, with aerodynamic surfaces that don't look experimental. The illuminated front fascia and expansive glass roof add to its overall appeal. However, the two-tone aesthetic and the 'Stealth' Appearance package could have been better integrated, as they detract slightly from the overall look.

Inside, the Gravity Touring's design is clean and almost Scandinavian in style. The Clearview Cockpit, with its 34-inch curved 6K OLED display and 12.6-inch central touchscreen, is sophisticated and information-rich without feeling overwhelming. However, some interior materials do not meet the standard set by the design itself, with the interior panel and cargo area's removable carpeted panels feeling cheap and home-built.

Software execution is an increasingly important consideration in modern cars, and the Gravity's is excellent. Smartphone integration is quick and simple, with reconnection on subsequent start-ups happening very quickly. The audio system, with 22 speakers and Dolby Atmos signal processing, sounds superb, though I personally don't care for elaborate signal processing with my audio.

In conclusion, the Lucid Gravity Touring is a strong act 2 for Lucid, offering a compelling package that undercuts the top-shelf Grand Touring by about $20,000 while preserving nearly everything that makes the Gravity compelling. It gives up some battery capacity and a measure of outright performance but retains the exceptional packaging, charging capability, and the balance of ride quality, comfort, refinement, and design. As a great second act for a new company, the Gravity also builds anticipation for Lucid's mid-size act 3.
